This is not really a bug report (it will be quite difficult to solve by software patch), but rather a minor hardware gripe:

The MarkII knob is obviously designed (as it sould be) to either be turned slowly by grasping it with a finger and thumb, or quickly by putting index finger on one of small front bumps. Well, the later method (usefull for transversing long lists etc) does not work, as turning the knob takes too much torque.

Maybe you just need more friction. They could send you a patch of sandpaper to tape to your finger. Seriously - I can turn mine with just one finger. Maybe you knob is binding against the fascia? I have heard of the hex screws being to tight causing this...
