I just got My new MKII #525, and aside from a few Emplode problems It works great!
However I did notice that the handle is covered (all along the surface) with blemishes. It looks like the finish was scratched to hell at the factory and then covered up (Poorly) with a magic marker.
Not that I am trashing the MKII or Empeg. I love my unit, it's just a shame that the cool new facia has some ugly marks on it.

I had a few similar nicks, but yours sound worse. Theres one very distinct gouge on the top of the handle that shines silver, but the others are unnoticable (i was looking at it incredibly close just checking out the lines when i noticed them...no one else would normally). Just sounds like a quality control issue in the factory.
