I've just installed v3.00alpha and for the first time I have Traffic Announcements working. This is the only reason I bought a tuner, so I'm a happy bunny.

Can anyone explain how it works? At what point does the tuner scan for stations with a TP signal?

Is there any way I could rebind the STOP/PAUSE button to cancel a TA? At the moment I have to press the source button to flick back to the player if I don't want to listen to a TA, and I've run out of buttons on my steering wheel remote.

Not sure,but I suspect you could use HiJack IR translations to map the PLAY/PAUSE to do source switching when in radio mode...

Strange, I haven't had a single traffic announcement since I installed 3.00a, I posted under bugs that I'm not sure whether it's the Empeg or the RDS service, RDS isn't the brightest piece of technology in the world.
Truth is, I'd probably be complaining just as much if it picked up all the traffic announcements, because on previous HU's I've been interrupted by traffic announcements for four other areas that I'm not in, on my 12 mile journey to work.

I'm receiving TAs just fine with 3.0a3... (stock tuner)

You can hit the right button on the front panel to cancel a TA, not tried this in 3alpha yet though.

Left/right on my tuner stalk control will cancel a TA; I think the same is true of the front panel. Haven't tried the Rio remote, though.
