While installing the empeg it got stuck in its chassis. I pulled on the handle to get it out and busted it. I am working on getting a replacement for it and a new replacement lense as well due to the scratch that the handle touched when it busted. I was going to replace that lense anyways with a smoked one!

I hope to get it installed this weekend, and will take some pics.

The dash kit was not made for a doubledin. It was more a Din 1/2 size. I had to really do some major work to make it work. Once its in the dash it should hide all the sides and metal showing.

While waiting to obtain a new handle, I wonder if you couldn't kluge together some sort of (ugly) repair that would at least restore functionality.

If you were to get some small diameter copper tubing that would just fit over the broken ends of the handle, you might (with a little epoxy and maybe a bit of light hammering to "form" the tubing to the cross sectional shape of the handle) be able to make the old handle work.

You might try JB Weld to glue the pieces back together as a temporary fix. I've used in on metal parts before with decent results.

I will have to try that. I have some JB weld around the house somewhere. Does no one sell those handles except support? I still haven't gotten a response back yet from Support, but I am sure I will soon.

I second that, that stuff is awesome. Just leave it alone overnight before you mess with it.
