I'd like to avoid giving money to RIAA while still buying albums legally. But putting that into practice is hard.

Along comes RIAA Radar, which helps us find albums put out by companies that don't associate with RIAA. I've not had a chance to really get intimate with it yet, but it's at least a very good idea.

My favorite part so far is how the RIAA is listing labels as being members when they're not.

This is an excellent idea, but the way they have the artists categorized simply blows!! Hopefully someone will work on that, I'd love to use it.

The owner of DigitalGunfire tries to keep the station RIAA free. He also recently removed an artist from the station because they released a copy protected CD.

He actually has some pull too, as many people credit hearing new artists from his station. He regurally has the top listeners on shoutcast.com. The more the public rejects the RIAA regulations, the sooner things will get better.
