This CES came up pretty quick. Who is going? Where are we meeting?
I will be coming in at 10PM Friday night. Are we going to do the meet on Saturday like last year? Should we plan other stuff too as well as meeting (blackjack, buffet, show, etc.)?
Send me a PM if you want to swap cell numbers.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday, I'll be with friends though and don't know if I'll have time for any extra activities.

Arrrgh! I just got back from Phoenix... If I could've stayed one more week, I'd have headed up to CES...
14:09 to drive from Phoenix to Austin... Thank you Valentine One for another ticket free trip!

I made Prescott in 18:30 from Houston once, but I wouldn't want to do that again!
My Valentine has done well as usual for me on this trip, even though the general level of speed enforcement this trip seems to less than in recent years.
Too bad you're going to miss first chance to see all the new toys!

Do you take I-10 thru New Mexico? What's with the "Safety Corridor" where they double the speeding fines in the "Safety Corridor?" Damn revenue generator and nothing else, as there is no other doubled fine for any other offense posted on the highway...

I'm thinking about going to CES this weekend. Anyone know if I have to pay to get in? The website says it's 75 bucks, but is there a way to go for free???

I think you have to pay after a certain date. Don't quote me on that though.
Come on down!

Sorry. I wasn't paying attention.
I have not done it, but the best way I have seen work is for you to, um, "politely ask" (shake down, extort from, etc.) a vendor that you do a lot of business with and that will be at CES to give you a free pass. Many larger vendors will have a batch of free passes to give out to their customers as perks. At least they used to, in days gone by...

Yep they closed the freebie site already, maybe you can steel a pass from somebody here if they aren't going the whole weekend? I'll only be going Saturday so you could have mine for Sunday (send me a private message if you want it).

I stay away away from I-10 unless I'm in a big hurry - too many 18-wheelers.
I did see one of those "safety corridor" areas on US60 west of Clovis. The concept definitely blows.

The main thing you need to know is that you have to have a business card and photo ID matching your registration info.

I'm driving to Vegas tonight for CES. Thanks for the offer for the pass on Sunday, but I need a total of 3 for both Saturday and Sunday... Anyone know how we might be able to score those? I hate to pay for something that I prolly don't NEED to pay for...
- Thanx in advance!

I've been to Vegas I don't know how many times and I've never yet seen an Elvis bathroom attendent. How dissappointing is that?!
