Paying VERY well for a rio branded remote. Might consider paying money and giving you my empeg remote.

Correct, I want the Rio one cause of the different functions, unless there is some cool way to mimic it.

On a slightly different tack...

I know there are a couple of functions missing from the Kenwood remote, but has anyone done anything like a self-adhesive overlay with labelling for all the button functions?

I want to try and make a clear stick-on overlay with the tweak functions etc labelled, so I can just apply it over the existing graphics. I don't have the artistic ability to do an attractive job - just wondered if anyone had tried something similar?

Some one else made one a while ago you might want to do a search for it.

I had a trawl but only found a reference back to Beelzebub's excel template and one for a larger remote..

I am going to have a go at hacking together one in a paint program. Does anyone have a hi-res scan of the Rio Remote I can start with? The stunkill.jpg on the FAQ is a bit blurry on the under-button words.

I'll post it when I have done it, but you must promise not to laugh at my efforts too!! I am an Engineer with the artistic talents of something with no artistic talent!

Cheers!!

Sorry about that. That was just a quick shot from the office scanner - an antique HP Scanjet. I threw it onto my home scanner. Take a look.

I'm probably thinking of the one for the larger remote.

They're both (all three?) the same size.

Okay - one episode of my wife's soap opera later....

I don't know what the file limit is for the board, so here is a low-res version (although it doesn't seem to have lost much in the compression, to be honest...)

I now have to find some suitable sticky-backed ink-jettable transparent sheet, and give it a go. I think it will need some playing with the contrast etc to get a good readable reproduction of the smaller ABC legends..

Not that neat - but saves taxing my memory!!

Nick

Quick question...

How do you get the picture to appear in the post itself?...

After you attach the image and save your post, go back and review it. Click the image (it will appear in a window on its own). Copy the url. Edit your previous post, where you inserted the image, and insert an image tag ( [ IMG ] ), the url you copied, and a close image tag ( [ / IMG ] ). Save your edit.

IIRC, the attachment size limit is 200.000 bytes

Enclose the url in ]IMG[url goes here]/IMG[ tags - reverse the direction of the brackets though...
When you compose a post, look up to the right - there's a UUBCode in your posts link that describes how to do stuff.

Cheers! I had a quick go, but I'd need to make a smaller image (it came out as wide as the screen and twice as long!!). I'll know for next time...
