You can now order empeg Carry Cases online. There are some photos up at http://www2.empeg.com/carrycase.

The case costs £19 including VAT within the EC, or US$26 to any other destination.

We've arranged shipping with the Royal Mail International Recorded Delivery service - the package will be delivered by your regular postman and will require a signature. Delivery should take between 2 and 4 days although this isn't guaranteed, and the package is fully insured. All this for under $10 to any destination worldwide (e.g. £3.82 to the EC, $8.78 to the USA) - bargain huh?

Get them while they're hot!

Rob

Nifty. Two questions:

1) Who's the dapper, stylish, man-about-town modeling the case in the photo?

2) I can't tell from the photos whether or not the case is padded? My Case Logic PDC-1 bag fits the Empeg nicely, but its lack of padding was a problem when I dropped it once (I cracked a corner of that nice new green faceplate I ordered).

1) That's [email protected] - I won't tell him what you said, it'll go to his head!

2) It's slightly padded but I still wouldn't want to drop it from any great height. On the plus side, it has a nice empeg logo, and word is that anyone who's anyone will carry one this summer :-)

What're the dimensions on this thing? Does it have any spare room in the case?

From looking at the photos, it looks like it's just barely bigger than the Empeg itself. The zippered pocket on the front looks like it's smaller than the Empeg and wouldn't be able to hold much.

Currently, I use a Case Logic bag, and it's got room for the Empeg as well as its power supply/cables, plus another pocket for my checkbooks and sunglasses. From looking at the photos of the Empeg bag, its outer pocket probably wouldn't hold nearly that much. So if I got one, I'd have to choose to carry either my checkbooks in it, or carry the power supply and cables, but not both.

I'm probably gonna get one of these bags just because it has the Empeg logo on it.

You can now order empeg Carry Cases online

I suggest you allow for a small comment box on the order screen. I'd liked to point out that I no longer have my order number around.

I'll fix the customer number for you when I process the order.

The current order system is appalling - we're getting a very nice shopping basket system with the new web site.

The case is a snug fit for the player. The front pocket is large enough for a remote and power supply, but the mains cable would be a tight fit. I have a cut down mains cable which fits conveniently in the pocket, and of course the UK mains plug is a lot larger than most.

Anyway, Logos are the big thing this summer (so says Wayne Hemmingway on the BigBreakfast - and I believe what he says ).

I was kind of expecting the Empeg offices to be more plush - no cubicles, more sort of a gold and silver luxury-fest.

We *do* have sofas, some mission speakers & an amp (to plug your empeg into, of course) and a playstation though... plus a fridge with all manner of beverages from ice pops to red bull...

We only just entered cubeville, before it was all open but it made it harder to get stuff done when people were on the phone, etc.

You forgot the Bugs Bunny pinball machine. Maybe I'll even get around to fixing it one day!

Guys,

You should be careful what picture you paint - Bugs Bunny, Lional, PlayStations....

I wish my office was like that - we're more like a slaving ship (complete with drums and everything) .
