As Blue said in response to the article: "Engineering geek names son version 2.0. Bullies already plan first beating."

So will their second child be 2.1? Did the baby go through alpha and beta testing while it was still in internal development?

It sounds like Version 2.0's shorts need an "up-grade" right up the ol' crack.

Version 1.0 obviously has some serious bugs.

This is why you shouldn't name your kids after yourself.

And *think* about what you name your kids and how it sounds.

There was an Staffordshire MP who's surname "Mycock" was unfortunate enough, but his parent's decision to give him the first name of "Ramon" was unforgiveable.

His profile page has now been updated with what I presume is a middle name but some proof is here (No.5).

I've never quite come to terms with people appending "Jnr" or "Snr" to their children's names; it's always struck me that the parents were pre-empting some kind of identity crisis when naming their children and that they really should get over it!

Using version numbers is, I think, quite a satirical way of going about it. Who knows, parents could pre-empt the number of children they were going to conceive and we really will end up with Billy Bob 7 of 9 someday

At least with 2.0 vs. Junior we end up with uniquely named different generations. Perhaps we should just skip straight to GUID values for names...

"Hello, my name is {42B8E97B-649E-44BB-BE7E-CCF3DD022C53} Norman, come and meet my son {AA6197A2-A02A-4847-AC7D-4C9FD63BEE90} Norman"

Create your next child's name.

I had an English professor named Rod Cockshoot.

My pediatrician's name was Dr Dick Weiner. his parents must have hated him.

I think I'm going to name my future children by the MD5 sum of their DNA sequence.

I had a psych teacher at a fundamentalist Christian university named Dick N. Hand.

Then again, the registrar's name was Mr. Christ...it was cool to see his parking spot in front of the Administration building.

I'm pretty sure that kid will get ass-kicking 1.0 at the playground.

What morons.

Followed by 2.0 after they perfect the first version by passing it out to multiple beta users.

I used to deal with a guy called Ivor Dick.
Come to think of it, and along slightly different lines, I had an accountant called Ewart Joy, who married a girl with Joy for a Christian name, giving her a married name of "Joy Joy".
