i have 2.0 installed and i have noticed that the use of the volume knob, for any function, does not operate properly..meaning that it seems like i have to make many more revolutions of the knob to achieve the same results than in previous beta installations....

this is very noticable when using the balance control...i have even noticed that when i spin it fast the results will be in a direction opposite than what i had intended..

anybody else notice this? or is it possible the knob itself is just wearing out??

It is possible that the knob is wearing out. Do you have a Mark2 or Mark2A? (empeg or Rio label)

v2-final is slower with the volume than some earlier versions. We just live with it.

My imagination does tell me that v3alpha seems slightly quicker, though.

All of this is fixable in kernel space -- we have the source code for the knob debouce "logic" if anyone wants to have a go at revising it.

Cheers
