I'm currently looking for an E36 M3 but don't seem to be able to find any pics of a stereo install, particularly an empeg. Found this thread but the info is gone.

I know the E36 systems can be difficult to interface to with noise problems and line level problems. Is it possible to do and keep the original stereo? Probably very low in the dash I think.

Could someone with an E36 take a pic for me?

Because if it's too hard I might start looking for another car since I'm having difficulty finding a good non-SMG E36.

Oh and I do know about http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/stereo/ but there's no pics of the head unit there either.
