Well fellow empeggers...i have had enough...the laws of protons and electrons and whatever else haunts the flow of electricity have won and not being able to successfully troubleshoot my install...for the past 2 years!!!...and have taken my Rio Car out of my car and put it on the shelf...

I am now using my Sony CD/MP3 receiver exclusively and it sounds absolutely delightful...no more whine...no more turning down the gains...no more aggravation...totally noise free

what i will miss is the functionality of the Rio...where else can you have 6k+ songs at your fingertips??

alas....

maybe it was the fact that the alternator is in the front of the car and the battery is in the trunk...long run for the cables and the ground points...


who knows....

just wasn't meant to be...maybe someday i will take it all into to a top shelf installer in my aread and have him start anew and work out the bugs....but i have a feeling that the problem lies in the HU itself...
