Yea, you still need a mod-chip unless you want to do a game-save hack everytime you want to boot into Linux.
I fitted the Mod-Chip my self so it may need re-doing, although it does work, but I never invisaged moving the unit about so the joints may come loose in time.
I have 1 controller, DVD Remote and all the X-Box Live stuff too. No games, well except for the ones on the 120Gb
The original HD is only 10Gb, but I would advise that you don't use that unless you'll never be bothered about using X-Box Live, when I want to use that I take out the 120Gb and turn off the mod-chip, if you don't Micro$oft figure out you've hacked it and block your XB-Live access.
Lets see if you get any more offeres first, I don't mind keeping hold of it, if you know what I mean.
