Under the current FCC broadcast content rules, wouldn't this be censored?

Under the current FCC broadcast content rules

FCC rules don't apply to the BBC, unless the content is to be shown in the US. The ITC would (I think) be the equivalent body in the UK.

You can't show a sperm in the US?

I think he's poking fun at the ever increasing restrictiveness of the FCC since the Janet Jackson/Super Bowl debacle.

A stretch I know, but if BBC America broadcast it (also not likely) then some buffoon would complain and they would likely get fined.

Considering all this BS came about because of a blurred sub-second view of a breast, anything is now possible over here.

BBC America is a cable channel. As of now, the FCC has nothing it can do about it.

BBC America is a cable channel...]

...and a damn fine one at that. At the moment their Thursday night line up includes Blackadder II, The Office (series 1) and Monty Python's Flying Circus.

But you'd think they could show some freakin' "Doctor Who"! And not just the same four episodes over and over again like they used to.

I hope we don't get the 'pre-match training' and behind the scenes footage. That'd be wrong and gross.
