It's in the FAQ. Short answer, you have to install Hijack to do this. (Unless I misunderstand your problem.)

Are you sure you've changed the true ordering of the playlist, or have you just sorted the tracks in emplode to display in that order (which can be a different order than they're played on the player)?

Another thing to check about play order is to make sure that Shuffle isn't enabled on the player (if it is, there should be a little 's' next to the "[4/34]"-styled playlist order indicator on the Track info mode. Also make sure that randomize isn't selected in the properties for the playlist. You'll have to use emplode to modify this. It's somewhere in the properties for the playlist.

Indeed the random seting was toggled and the playitst is the order one expected.

Even shorter answer is that you can restore visuals when you're in the car by doing a long press on the down button. That's all Hijack is doing when you enable visuals in the car. You'll only need Hijack if you don't want to have to do it manually.
