I've got an Empeg MK II #572 and I used to be fairly active on the boards. But alas, I haven't been current on the empeg goings on for quite some time. Long story short: Empeg died, stayed dead for over a year, finally came back to life for no apparent reason (other than being taken appart and put back together a few times), and I'm just now getting back into the empeg scene.

So uh... Hi, everyone. Glad to be among my fellow empeg geeks again.

P.S. Props to the author of Jemplode. I used it for the first time today and had to staple my pants to the chair to keep from jumping up and down with joy and annoying the downstairs neighbor.

Welcome back! Usually dying and coming back to life is one of these common things. Odds are it'll die again unless you crimp the cable or fix the IDE header.

The cables aren't falling apart but I do think one was loose.

On top of that, the 2.0 beta release I had installed was tweeked. As soon as I upgraded to 2.0 release and synced about 4 or 5 times, it started to come out of it's funk. (i.e. no more random reboots, lockups, etc...)

Are there any other new (within the last 6 months) developments you guys can recomend? I can't wait to get tinkering again.
