You can find it here.

Have fun, people. Any questions, let me know. You have until the 25th to sign up for tee-shirts and hotels: any later and it will be difficult to book.

Be there or be square!

It's not as compelling while it's a building site..

Is Jauk's Beer Shoppe that place in the precinct? The one with the incredible range of Islay single malts?

It's a real steam, radio controlled paddle ship, not a submarine - and I don't think that it fits into the remit of budget airlines to bring it across!
I've tried to register 3 times now and an error message tells me it needs phone numbers - which I've given it.

I had the same problem registering. Only put numbers in the fields provided for the phone numbers. No spaces or extra characters.

So if I sign up for a shared room, that means that someone gets assigned to me, right, and I don't have to provide the other person?

Well, we could organise room sharing here. I'm up for it to help keep the costs down if someone else also is.

Woah, cool!

Excruciatingly Hot, if you stick your fingers in the wrong place!
So could it bring you across?

So, last year, you wanted Mrs. Boxer to travel from North Yorkshire to the middle of Holland in an MGF, with a metre long boat on her lap. This year you want me to re-enact Dunkirk at immense personal risk - what is it with you people!!!!

By the time you've got through the brewery, the buffet, the new toys, and exchange of views on saturday, the BBQ, all those great guys and girls you've exchanged views with on this site*, and chilling out, Sunday A.M., you won't even notice you've missed the old tug - Oops, sorry I can't think who it is I mean.

*I remember last year, at the bar in the Campanile, Jim(Hogan) smiling at me, and holding out his hand to say: "I know who you are, you talk just the way you write". That was when all the inhibitions went and I knew that it was all going to be great, all weekend - blast, but favourite nieces come first!!! - But plenty of new people and old friends, I'm dying to see this time round.

Let me be the first to say; what a programme, what an organiser Rob is, can't fail to be the high point of our year again.

What the hell's happened to my avatar

I was so happy waiting for Amersfoort 2004 meeting the friendly people I met last year. It was soooo good. But I will not take part because I have to do so much things here and the date this year is just a few days before I'm taking an exam. And because it's the second try, I have to work hard. So have fun, I will think of you at Saturday, when I would be there if I could.
I'm sure sometimes a new leak will open and even me will get an update for the empeg (if it is like last year)...

Have fun, folks.

Unfortuntately not. That's the wine shop in Kattenbroek near the meet, which to my *utter disgust* has been bought out by a chain store and is now just a volume booze shop.

This one is a small, beer-only shop in the middle of Amersfoort near the market, opening specially on the day for about half an hour for us at about 11AM Sunday morning. Get those registrations in, people!

If you request a share, I will assign you one and pass on contact details for your the person you are sharing with.

If you have agreed beforehand with someone going to the meet you would like to share, the idea is to let me know on the booking form. If you have already booked and didn't mention this, let me know separately on [email protected]

What a shame! That was a brilliant place...

Few minor updates to the booking site for the meet. My apologies to Paul Grzelak for incorrectly crediting his generous donation of support eight balls to his evil twin, Patrick, may he rest in peace having been dispatched with some despatch. Don't forget to put in special needs (vegetarian, wheelchair access, train times, bicycle hire, etc.) in the booking form when you book.

It's shaping up to be a great event, people - spread the word to all and sundry. With 25 bookings in already and around 40 people attending (many from the US!), dare YOU not come to the Biggest and Best empeg meet yet?

.... don't forget the chance to win our Fab Mystery Prize at the meet, simply by being there! With over 80G of storage, this makes it the biggest ..... Ooops! I nearly revealed all then - that could have been embarrassing!

Be there or be square, people

In all honesty, given my current circumstances and the vast changes taking place in my life, I really can't say I'll even be in a position to consider doing another one next year. If you are going to do this event, the time is NOW. I am not trying to blackmail you, neither am I joking - I am quite serious: this might be the last one I do.

Go for it, you know you want to do it. Move heaven and earth, and get unsquare in flat land.

Wanting won't help: I will be gone for 10 days starting Tuesday; I get back July 3 very early, and
1) have work to catch up on
2) won't have enough money to get to the airport let alone leave the country even if I do/am, until pretty much just after it's over
