I am a new owner of a Rio Receiver unit. After loading and running the Audio Receiver Manager software supplied with the unit, I noticed that it seems to leak handles (this can be observed from Windows 2000 by using the task manager) when it is streaming audio to the receiver. Anyone else notice this? It hasn't caused an issue with playback or caused the server to fail (yet). Any thought?

Interesting. Hadn't noticed that.

Until a new version of the manager software is released, you can use one of the third-party servers (listed in the FAQ section of this messageboard).

Leak???

Looking at it on my XP system, it looks like it's adding one handle per second. I'm guessing that it's actually one handle per packet exchange with the receiver.

Looking more closely (from memory, so excuse me if I get it wrong), the handles being leaked are for keys with a name something like "HKEY/.mp3"

Personally, I don't see how something that leaks this badly made it out the door. On the other hand, I regularly use a Name Brand web browser, so I guess Rio's in good company.

Just a note - the v1.04 beta software also has the leak...
