my rotary knob works like crap, there is a mechanical glitch in the axle, when turning right to tune up the volume it wold rather 'jump' up and down or do nothin at all... is there any chance that the knob are avaiable in sweden ie. at 'Farnell' or 'ELFA'? if not whats the retail? anyone got a spare or working used one? pm me! //stefan

Someone had a bunch of rotary encoders around here a while back. Search on that phrase and take a look. If I remember correctly, it is a standard part but there were a batch of them left over that have been used for repairing this problem. Note: this fix requires some soldering skill.

It may not be the rotary encoder, but one of the original knobs from a MK 2, I had mine exchanged precisely because it did this, but I had largely fixed the problem by wrapping a small piece of paper round the shaft.
