My other half has decided that my desk with all my electronics is taking up too much space where it currently resides in the den, thus I am being evicted to a spare bedroom. Problem is that I do not want to reroute all my network connections to the spare bedroom. Can I run one Cable from the spare bedroom to the den connecting theend in the bedroom up to my Linksys router and the other end into a switch or hub so that I do not have to run all the connections back to the bedroom?

Of course. That's the whole point of switches and hubs.

You don't even need that one cable. You can get a pair of Linksys
WRT54G or WRT54GS Wireless-G routers dirt cheap at Walmart. Grab a firmware update from sveasoft.com and you'll be good to go with a router and a wireless repeater in your bedroom. The downside to this is that you'll have less bandwidth than with 100 Mb/s wired router.

Actually, if the only thing on the remote side of the wireless connection is the internet connection, there shouldn't be any speed difference, as the computer-to-computer connections will all be through the 100Mbps hub built into the wireless adapter.
