I am having problems with a Canon N650U...when I try to scan something it comes up with an error and shuts down. It started happening after I got Windows XP awhile back....I downloaded the newer version, but it still does it.

Yeah, I've got that scanner. Works fine with Windows XP for me. What are you using to scan? I generally use Paintshop Pro 5.

I've got the Canon FS2710 film scanner which does not work with XP with the Canon drivers. The solution for me is to use VueScan which is 100% better than the Canon software was anyways.

Also, on the little error screen...it says "modName: scanintf.dll if that helps diagnose it all......Is there anything like Vue scan that doesn't cost $60?
