Having put my new empeg to actual field test use for a couple months now, I find there are three things I'd like to be able to do:
1) Perform the same search twice in a row, so I can use the "Tune/Track +/-" remote buttons to hand-pick several matches
2) Distinguish different songs with the same title
3) Select all matches for a partial search, such as all songs in genres "Alternative" and "Alternative Rock", or in years 1980-1989.

The first might be easily solved by recalling the most recent search (both results and REW/FF history) if the "Direct OK/search" button is held for a short time.
Then I could search by artist and choose maybe only the first six Beatles albums, successively, quickly.

As for the other two, what if the result lists were initially collapsed, expandable with the "FF/FM+" button?
For example: currently, searching by title might yield:

   A Hard Day's Night
Don't Be Cruel (2)
Electric Avenue

Press "3/DEF"

   Don't Be Cruel (2)
Electric Avenue

Press "6/MNO"

   Don't Be Cruel (2)

Instead, how about this?

   All songs (4)

Press "3/DEF"

   D...(3)

Press "5/JKL"

   Electric Avenue

(Press "FF" no effect)

Starting over,

   All songs (4)

Press "3/DEF"

   D...(3)

Press "FF"

   Don't Be Cruel (2)
Electric Avenue

Press "FF" again

   Don't be Cruel/Bobby Brown
Don't be Cruel/Elvis Presley
Electric Avenue

Also, I do hope the redundant "YEAR" search will be removed, in favor of the existing, more flexible, "Search by year" option that appears five keypresses later.
