First, let me say I really like tRio
I have one receiver working great so I bought another hoping to connect to a wireless bridge. So far I cannot get the second one to work using tRio at all even connected to the same hub as my original working Rio. I downloaded the latest beta version of ARM and was able to connect to the second receiver so I know the second one works. Any ideas???

Thanks

Don

Don,

How far does the 2nd receiver get under tRio - do you see the tRio splash screen?

Please send me copies of your trio.xml and log file (in the logs sub directory) and I'll see if I can spot anything.

Cheers
Paul

Don,

For some reason I can only see your 1st attachment - trio.xml. Dunno if it's my brower (ie 6).

But if you're not getting as far as the tRio splash screen then it has to be the dhcp/nfs bits that aren't going according to plan. Have you set this up for the new receiver's ip address? Under linux I create a directory under /tftpboot with the receiver.arf contents.

Cheers
Paul

UBB only lets you upload a single file per post. Thats why you can't see anything apart from trio.xml

yes, I have set up the new receiver's IP address. I reviewed the DHCP page of my router and set up a directory for each of my receivers. The old one is /tftpboot/192.168.0.100 and the new one is /tftpboot/192.168.0.107. I have copied the files into the directory for the new reciever. I haven't seen anything in the log files pertaining to the new reciever.

Thanks,

Don

Don,

My guess is that the NFS bit isn't working. I don't know what NFS server you're using, but on my linux box, I add the following line to /etc/exports for each receiver:

/tftpboot/x.x.x.x *(rw,insecure,all_squash)

where x.x.x.x is its ip address.

What os are you running?

Cheers
Paul

I am using linux and I have added the line to /etc/exports and this seems to have made a difference. Now, the new receiver will display the searching for music server screen and then switches to the DELL initializing screen but then every time it displays the Dell initializing screen it switches back to the searching for music server screen. I have attached my log file.

Thanks,
Don Puckett

Don,

Good, we're making progress.

The log file you attached does mention the 192.168.0.107 address at all - and so it doesn't look as if it's getting as the tRio splash screen (where it says "finding tRio server"). Is this right?

If so, hopefully there'll be something in /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog that'll tell us what's going wrong.

Cheers
Paul

Paul,

Thanks for all the help, It now connects and I can play music! Now I just have to figure out how to connect using a WET11 wireless bridge so I can move the new receiver to another room.

Thanks,

Don Puckett
