I need a codec for mp2 to be able to watch video on the windows
media player (10).
I don't have windvd, or any other dvd software on this machine.
from what I understand if I did, the codec would be there, and
that WMP does not include it, but can use it.
anyone run into this?
anyone know where to find / how to install the correct codec?

I get the impression you wouldn't be opposed to using another program. Give mplayer a try. It'll play almost anything you throw at it.
