If I have a basic Dell laptop with windows on it, how feasible is it to swap drives with my empeg? I only have a 12 gig drive, and I'm now having to choose between music to load. Can I simply swap a larger drive in from a laptop? I remember years ago, DMoore had some sort of new drive prep tool.

If this is doable, how would I go about doing it? i.e. does the windows drive have to be formateted first, etc.

Any info would be appreciated.

It is easy to do, as long as you do not mind wiping the drive from your laptop. All of the instructions are right here, including step by step for building and physically installing the new drive.
