"Rio is showing off a similar tool, the Rio Car, an MP3 car stereo that lets you move your MP3 collection into the car via a wireless connection."

Is there something cool in the pipe that we all don't know?

No, that's (probably) just Rob at CES showing off the fact that you can connect an Apple Airport (or similar) to a mark 2 while it's still in the car (with the sled hack, obviously), and then connect to it with emplode or emptool.

It's very cool, but it's not "in the pipe". You can do it already.

You know those marketing types. They get excited easily.

And the Rio-Car is just the start of the rebranding of the empeg-car.

I figured, but it was worth hoping for...
I still haven't seen any information on the Rio site about the empeg itself, which is a shame now that the press traffic about it is on the rise.
