If all goes well, I will be moving into my new house the end of this month. So next years meet will be held at my house in Metamora, Indiana. I'll be out in the country far enough that I don't think anyone will mind, except maybe the cows across the street, if the competition is held there. I'll have parking for 4 cars on the driveway plus there is always the grass. The house has 2 bathrooms and I will have a guest room. People are welcome to sleep in the house or put up a tent in the back or a Comfort Inn in Batesville, Indiana is 20 minutes away. For lunch on Saturday we can either go to the Sherman House in Batesville or to the Hearthstone in Metamora where a part of the movie Rainman was filmed. If the SO's come they can go shopping in Metamora where there are streets full of little shops. I'll have the Saturday night cookout in the backyard, I hope to have a picnic table by then, and if you want to take turns in the 1-2 person hot tub, bring towels.

Hopefully, everyone will come back. I will have a dial-up connection and no Cat5 cable running through the house But we'll manage somehow.

Good to hear the tradition continuing here. Since I have vowed to move to another position or job my early 2005, I'll probably do another Colorado meet sometime next year. Ironicially if I get a particular job out of the 8 jobs I am looking at, I'll be traveling from out of state to attend my own meet. But, so much is in the air right now I have no clue what direction I will be going. At least 4 though look to finally get me in the game industry, something I have wanted for a long time.

These days you probably need less space for wiring but it's still good to have.

I'll take a poll on it this spring and see when people would prefer it to be but I like late September.

Having the unfinished basement would make it very easy to run the cable so I'll let you if you want to There is already co-axial hookups and phone jacks in most rooms.

I've not really been an active member of the empeg community thus far. That said, I'm in.

Maybe one of these days I'll get motivated and document what a royal PITA it is to install an empeg in a 91 Corvette.

Hey woman!!! Long time eh? If I can convince the Navy to stop hacking on my kneecaps and give me a medical discharge I will be in fairfield... Maybe we can do the mass exodus to Kings Island or something sick like that. LOL

Kings Island would be fun but it would blow the whole day and be pretty darn expensive. Maybe some other weekend if you move back to the area.

I'll take a poll soon on what weekend in September to hold the meet and how many want to stay in a motel. I'll see about getting a group rate for the weekend if there are enough people. By September I should have grass in the yard and the fire pit and picnic table set up. Last night I finally got my front porch swing hung but haven't tested it out yet

Hmm...over my wife's birthday again. Hopefully I can get her to come along this year so I'm not in the dog house for skipping to go to a geek fest.

Well if she's into crafts and antique shops, there will be plenty to keep her busy around here. And you can stay in a nice hotel room and not have to rough it in the cabins

I plan to have the meet at my house still but it's not good if you're allergic to cats since I have a herd of them. They'll mainly stay hidden when company is here. I should have grass and a picnic table and grill and fire pit dug by then. If there are enough people wanting to stay in a hotel, I can check and see if people can get a discount. People can also stay here, I have one extra bed plus plenty of room for camping.
