I think I'm having a small problem with the tuner.
After listening to the radio for a while (sometimes it's half an hour, sometimes it's one hour) the volume drops down to almost zero.
I am not referring to the empeg, knob-controlled volume, but to the volume level of all radio stations, regardless of the empeg volume status.

The signal meter is stays at full reception, no strange indication on the display, and actually no change of any kind on the display.
It is not going on mute, as there's no mute icon on the display. Plus, the volume is not dows to 0. I can still hear (barely) the radio if I turn the volume knob at full volume.

After leaving the empeg off for a while, the problem goes away.

It's as if some component is "overheating", just to give you the idea...

Also, this does not happen with MP3s. It's just a radio problem.

What could it be? Any help is very very appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

Have you got a PCATS unit, or a factory one?

I suspect the output amp on the tuner is dying.
