I just bought a 2nd Empeg from a fellow Audi TT owner. It was still loaded with version 1.0 of the player software. WOW - what a long way these have come. Its really the only way to appreciate the work that has gone into the software since the EOL.

I felt bad that this guy never tapped into the great features and UI upgrades. He had about 1500 songs and most had been played 40-80 times. He never knew that any of THIS, including hijack, tuners, illuminated buttons, animated logos, and software updates even existed. Made me wonder how many 1.0s are still running around out there.

BTW - the 2nd player is going in the wife’s Xterra. Nice deal for me all around! Been lurking for a while, just thought I would say hi!

just upgraded mine from 1.0 here last week and ive had it for , um, whenever it was i signed up for this board.
