Recently lost the standard 10gig HDD out of my player, sooo I am looking to upgrade to something with some more space.

Probably best to just buy a new drive, I'd be careful about buying second hand.

Any rcommendations, I am looking at alot of Toshiba drives as the one that was in there was Toshiba Iand I do not want any compatibility issues.

Any laptop drives (9.5mm) will be fine. I've never had a problem with Hitachi Travelstar.

What Phil said, amongst my players I've got IBM/Hitachi Travelstars and a Fujitsu, they seem pretty good.

I will soon (hopefully) have two 30Gb Fujitsu HDDs on sale, originally installed in my 60Gb empeg, which I bought on the famous Christmas close down sale (Decemnber 2002? ) .

So they're few years old and they've always been in that same empeg; they've been used with maniacal care, since they are my main sotrage for my entire music collection.

I am expecting the new 100Gb HDD anytime this week, then I'll be happy to sell them at a fair price. If interested, email me at taym at ilquen dot it. I'm in Italy, so shipping expenses need to be added, too.
