I am after a Dension DH-100ix for my wifes car, since she now leaves her empeg in the car rather than pull it out, I'll keep it as my spare again...
Dension replied to my email that they don't ship outside of the US... Would someone be willing to onship the player to me? I can pay all costs via paypal..
thanks Jaidev

I could help (if I could find an accurate price estimate), but couldn't you buy it online and have it shipped to NZ? Hm... some quick research shows Dension only sells through Best Buy, who's online store doesn't carry it. Froogal says only dension.com has it. Page after page of Google web search lists sites which don't have it (including Maplins, which has the HDDs, but now the unit). Very odd, can this only be bought from Dension directly? But wait, some shady website has it listed for $800. When I click "add to cart", it takes me to Amazon. Apparently, Amazon has it (under ASIN: B0007RRES2 incase that link has some session time out). But wait, is that a used unit, being sold through "epos corporation"? Wow, is this Dension unit THAT hard to get a hold of? What about all the other international Dension distributors listed on their dealer locator link? Could one of those ship to NZ; maybe a UK one? Jaidev, if all else fails, I could help... if I can find where to buy the thing.

Wow, after 15 minute glance over their website (admitedly at 1:30am) I couldn't find their webstore. If I can't find a product's webstore (or decent ordering instructions) in 15 minutes, that website's getting the Alt-F4.

I bought one a few months back and hated it - cheap and flimsy. Are you sure you want one?

Well yea, I'd rather have it than my wife leave the empeg in the car everywhere she parks.

Well, the Dension arrived one day ahead of schedule. I'll send it out tomorrow. I have repackaged it to be water proof, crush proof, and essentially everything proof. So, if anything happens to it and/or it's not impeccably packed when you get it, we should have a talk with USPS.
Actually, I packaged it well for its protection while in my house. It's on the wrong turf, and those MKIIa's are keeping a sharp eye on it.

Now if only somehow those boxes and their products inside could magicially merge. Interface and hackability of the empeg, features of the Dension, and overall look of the empeg.
Of course this comes to where we all bow our heads in respect for the Mark III, the idea that was one of many casualties of the Rio withdraw back to handhelds only.

Well I have the unit, I must thank Chris on his excellent help.
Apparently this German site ships internationally, I just got put onto them by Dension US however they are selling it at EUR499 vs US$399!
If I went though this route I'd have ended up paying NZ$990 shipped, based on current exchange rates.
I paid approx NZ$605 shipped, getting it from the US almost a $400 saving

No problem, I'm really glad it worked out. I still owe you those 7 cents. Hahah.

Better pay that back quick! In a few decades you might end up owing 8 cents

Hah! Aren't you the optimistic one!
At 5% interest compounded annually, it would take only three years to reach the 8 cents mark. After just two decades, you'd be up near the 20 cent range.
Watch out, that compound interest will eat you alive!

Depends on the compounding period. If it's too short, you'll never get a cent.
Do banks always round to their advantage?
