I know, this message has already been sent many times, but I want a clear answer...
Is there any way to copy back the files from the EMPEG player to the PC ?? Yes ? No ?
If yes, how is it possible ?
If no, why ? is there some hardware that limit this feature ??
I am developper, Is there a way to to that programaticaly ?

Thanks for your comments.

David

Yes, I read this post. But My second question, does anybody have some information about the "Debian ARM distribution used by the empeg", as it is described in the post ???

Sigh. Maybe I'll just update the FAQ and tell them to use Displayserver.

Just out of curiosity…
Why can't (in a future release of course) a backup function be enabled for the Empeg using emplode to administer it?
Of course, the data would\could be dumped to a proprietary format single file(s) that is not readable (encrypted) by anything else but the restore function used by emplode to put back to the Empeg as an image.
No legal issues there.
?

The Empeg guys have mentioned (in the past) a desire to do something like that. Maybe it will happen eventually.

This would be my second-highest desire on the Wish List.

(My first highest would be the ability to move up one level in the playlist tree when are playing a song, instead of having to return all the way to Root.)

Same here but I've probably mentioned this before.
