The fark posting is not correct - the story dates from 1998 or earlier, apparently it originated in the Yorshire Evening Post and was reported in The Sun a day later. Alistair McCallum is (or was) a judge in the area. A read a hoax website which gave it the benefit of the doubt, although The Sun is hardly reliable they are unlikely to post a summary of a court case involving a real judge's name, nor would the YEP.
