Is this the grammar police? I take the fifth. It's just a google map with the home locations of a bunch of fanatic Chevy SSR pickup owners listed.

I was going to ask why anyone would buy an SSR... Or any Chevy for that matter.

It's the apostrophe police, actually.

That's pretty cool. Is there an Empeg/Rio Car pinmap somewhere?

Vauxhall Motors has been a GM property since the 1920s. Same with Opel.

Good point.
s/GM/Chevrolet/
Somehow I don't think they'll be using the slogan "See the USA in your Chevrolet".

And they're marketed simply as "Chevys" in Mexico.

Yes, but the Chevy Nova was a complete flop there.

Since there isn't a Cowboy Neal option, I vote for the first version- no apostrophes. It's a title of the pinmap: SSR Owners. No possesion required.

I often wonder if they make one of those curvy-type trucks that isn't SSR. I mean, SS is a historically bad-ass name, coupled with R for some heavy fire power. But did they make a base model? Or is the truck just THAT good?

The R in SSR stands for roadster. Does it mean something else on other vehicles?
Base model? There's never been anything I would call a base model. Unless you wanted to claim that the 03/04 years were the base model to the 05/06 years. The former have a 5.3L Vortec all aluminum motor that produces 300hp. While the latter sport the 6L LS2 engine, producing 400hp. Besides the engines there isn't much to distinguish one SSR from another.
I somehow get the imrepssion that by, curvey base model truck, you are asking if there is a curvy practical work truck. Not that I know of.

Thanks for the explanation, I wasn't trying to insult. I'm too curious sometimes. "Curvey truck" is the best way I could describe it. I only know it as the "SSR", which struck me as two suffixes and not a model name. Like a person named "Jr. PhD". There was my confusion. "Base model" as in there's Impala and Impala SS, I was wondering if there's a lesser "SSR" without the awesome engine (I'm a fan of GM engines, too). The aggressive font on the R made me think "Racing", akin to Honda Civic Type R. Then again, I always have misunderstood car model prefix letters. "This foot-in-mouth unintentional insult brought to you by the Range Rover HSE, proudly using two of the least powerful letters."

I tried to create one on Frappr, but found out that http://www.frappr.com/empeg already exists, albeit without any members. So I added myself and created another one, http://www.frappr.com/riocar, for good measure. How about adding your locations (on riocar one, I guess, since I am not the owner of the other) and serial numbers?

Nice!
Should've been a little more careful with my message- I can't figure out how to edit it.
Oh well. Very cool!
Perhaps a fixed link should be created for the pinchart?

There is a link 'Remove my Shoutout' below the map. One might be required to sign up for it to appear, I am not sure. Admin can only remove the pin altogether, not edit the shoutout, as far as I can see.
