Something about this sale doesn't seem quite right. Could this be another stolen unit? Looking at the sellers feedback, I see that someone thinks that they have received stolen goods.

Well, it's got the power supply, sled, and a spare lens. That's more than I'd expect a thief to pull from a car, unless people carry power supplies and lenses with them.

All we need is a serial number. How many times have I seen that dash photo now?

Where does it say that somebody thinks they received stolen goods? There is one negative and the reply from the seller is that their stock was stolen not that the buyer received stolen goods.

Also they've done their research about where the extra lens came from.

This is the feedback line,

"Unfortunately, items were stolen? Thanks for the positive feedback, though!"

I may have read it wrong. It comes from a neutral feedback.

Anyway I hope its a legit sale.

The buyer is just saying the seller told him the item was stolen from the seller and the seller refunded the buyers money and left positive feedback. Doesn't seem that sketchy to me, two feedbacks say the same thing at the same time, it doesn't show up anywhere else.

You can get burned on any ebay auction, but I wouldn't assume this one's fradulent just from those feedbacks.

Is that a BMW dash in the photo ???

If not, that may not be a photo of the actual item.

Cheers

Cris.

Probably not either way, as the pics are linked from two different sites
( www.installer.com/pics/empeg.jpg and
www.bclaserworks.com/empeg/prodimages/Red.jpg )
and the dash pic is old - at least from Sep 2000...
Of course it's *possible* that the seller is associated with bclaserworks and
did the install in Houston and now is located in L.A., though the locations
are a fair bit apart...

ya know, i could get this listing removed, since he STOLE MY TEXT word for word from an auction I just had running...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5836885198

Namely:

"a very active user support community, who have transformed this little linux box into a lean, mean, music playing machine – capable of GPS, games (very basic games & GPS functionality as the screen is somewhat limited), and tons of other customizations available to make this unit unique to you – including countless software hacks, aftermarket parts, upgrades, repairs, etc."
