Hi, have just got hold of an empeg with tuner and installed it in my Volvo utilising the factory amp and everything is great. However, I've installed hi-jack and now can't see how you can program the tuner - any help to a newbie appreciated.

Program the tuner? What do you mean?

How to store radio stations in the presets. In the guide it says to press and hold the 'menu/ok' but this now brings up the hi-jack menu (or do I just ignore that?).

Hmm.
I have a tuner, but haven't installed it yet. So, although I don't have any experience with it, I do have an interest in your problem and I'm looking around for an answer.
So far, I've found enough info to re-create in my mind what you're doing.
Mark Lord recently submitted this post, linking a scan of the original tuner instruction leaflet.
Then, there's the FAQ entry on how to access the Hijack menu.
These two pieces of info yield a conflict wrt the 'press and hold' function of the 'menu/ok' button on the remote.
Is there another way to access the tuner setup menu than via the remote? Will one of the buttons on the player allow access?
I'm curious, too.

Just follow the rest of the tuner "preset" instructions, omitting the "press and hold menu/OK button" part.

Ah.

A 1-second presshold on Menu/OK will bring up the hijack menu. A 2-second presshold will toggle between Tuner and Player.

However, you can also just do everything from the "Source" menu and the "Radio" menu. Use the "Source" menu to switch between Radio and Player, and when you're in the Radio mode, use the Radio menu to store presets and such.

Of course, if the tuner module isn't hooked up right, or it's malfunctioning, then you can't switch to it.

Got it sorted. When in the radio mode just press and hold the preset number you want to store the radio freq. in.

Thanks to all who replied.
