Ri-ON new poster Registered: 05/11/2005 Posts: 21	I lost my ac adapter and after using a universal one at 12v, I question whether it's the thing to use. Although it works, the battery symbol pops up alot and the music skips. When I hook it up in the car its just fine. Ri-ON

Odds are it's because you bought a Radio Shack unit that only does 1a at 12v. You merely need a slightly more powerful one. Any adapter will do as long as it meets the spec. The one you're using just doesn't meet the spec. The full specification is here.
