I'm trying to find a program that works and will automatically download video (DLTV) and audio (Twit) podcasts.

I don't seem to be having any luck with anything I try. I tried fireant, itunes and now yahoo! iTunes seemed to be the most promising but either I just didn't "get it" or it really sucked in the usability department.

Anybody out there got any good suggestions?

Thanks!

Rene

I used this one a while ago and it worked ok. I have stopped using anything at all and just go download the shows.

Same here. I watch both the shows you mentioned, and I just go to the sites. At the moment I watch/listen to:

Engadget
DL.TV
TWiT
Diggnation
Systm
InDigital

Basically all the old Screen Savers people and Engadget. I'm thinking about dropping DL.TV, though. Robert is okay, but Patrick doesn't realize that he is so intensely annoying. He drives me up the wall every time he goes off on some stupid tangent that he thinks is so incredibly funny. Stay on topic! And TWiT is getting annoying too. Leo is getting out of touch and is a complete Mac fanboy (not always bad, but he refuses to acknowledge anything Windows related in a positive manner), and Dvorak is, well, he's Dvorak. I can't stand him or that Steve Gibson guy. I don't know if it's a generational thing, but those guys bug me.

At the moment my favorites are Engadget, Diggnation, and InDigital. Peter and Ryan stay on topic, Kevin and Andy have a good time, and the folks on InDigital put out the most polished vidcast I've seen yet.

Geek Counterpoint is one of my favorites. Not too techie and he covers a wide field of interests.

I watch all those and I have watched the last couple 1up shows The 1up show seems about as good as any other videogame show.

I like the tangents the thing I don't like about DLTV is they don't really show that much it could be audio only with little loss of content.

What I really want to see is tivo do what they are doing with rocketboom with more vidcasts.

Looks nice enough but it seems to be audio only.

You are right... it doesn't care if it's video or audio. I think I like it. It actually seems to work properly and is simple to use. Not bloated at all!

Now to load up on geek stuff!

Thanks!

This thread inspired me to start using juice again.

There are two features that I would like that it doesn't have. One is that it would let me auto set the genre tag to whatever I want so I don't get some set to podcast and some to vocal. Two it would be nice if it had some notification of when new stuff has been downloaded.

Anyone know of another program with these features. I tried ipodderx and didn't like that one at all.
