I'm sorry to hear that. Really. My cat is the same age and I know how I'd feel if she wasn't around anymore.

I'm sorry for your loss. My wife's dog of about 12 years died 2 years ago and it was more difficult than I ever thought. It really is losing a family member.

The poor baby. She had a very happy and long life and was lucky to have had you as you were lucky to have had her. Remember the good times you both had and she'll always be in your heart and thoughts. I have many cats and have lost many over the years and you never get used to the pain because they are all special. I'm so sorry for your loss of a dear friend and a family member.

My little mate's gone. She was instrumental in both Mk1 and Mk2/2A. Have a look at the silk screen and copper layer text comments on each player and you will understand how much of a loss she is. I remember the first time I met her: she was sat on the window sill of Patrick's bedroom facing out over the back of the house at the afternoon sun: chin up and eyes closed revelling in the warmth. Then she turned round, did a double take, said "Hello" ("Mrrrooooaaaww", with a particular emphasis) and jumped down to get the expected "ear" (ear tickling) she would exchange as part of the deal of being friends. Sunny little thing, delicate and tolerant. Bye bye.

Patrick, it's sad to hear of your loss. It seems amazing that you had so much time with Pixel. But as a pet owner myself, I know it's never enough. Hang in there.

Patrick, I know nothing I or anyone else says can take away the pain of losing a member of the family, but both Lisa and I want to extend our condolences. I am so very sorry you lost your loved one.

Such a lovely cat, and by now I've even forgiven her for hiding one of the tuner modules that was supposed to go into the mk1 (it was wrapped in pink antistatic bubblewrap (obviously very enticing for a cat), and she had batted it down the stairs and under the sofa without either Patrick or I noticing!) 20 years is pretty good going for a cat though; Freebie (who could be mistaken for a fatter, less intelligent Pixel on a dark night) managed to get to 16 (I think) before she went last year. How sad -- such a beautiful cat. I had a cat named Pixel, too. He died the week before my birthday a few years ago, with barely had a tenth the run your Pixel did.

A sad time indeed. We morn for Patrick's loss. A good friend and companion is a rare thing. I have had 'bitchy cats, and we now have a cat that is a member of the family and has been with us for only 8 years or so...I can't imagine her not being around!!
Shalom, Pixel...we'll keep a catnip ball in the window...

Condolences to you also. If our furry friends lived as long as we do then there would be many, many more homeless animals. When I lost my first I thought I would never be able to have another and go through that pain again, but then I don't think that they would want to be the cause of us never being able to have the companionship of another animal. Love then while you have them for they return that love double-fold.
