I just got around to testing the memory I had added to one of my spare empegs, and it didn't work on the first try. If anyone can help me out, I've tried to figure it out but I don't quite understand how to decrypt the text below. (complete boot log attached)

So that would be the RAS1 line on the strongarm, or either of the stacked chips on pin 14, right?

Everything seems to have continuity, I haven't tested the resistance yet.

Right. Most likely at the RAS1 (pin 123?) of the SA-1100 CPU.

Or (much less likely) one of the control lines to the RAM chips (eg. the RW, CS, or OE lines).

I just got around to trying to figure out this memory issue. After replacing a chip I'm now getting this error.

I'm really bad with decipher these error messages into binary to get the troubled pins. Can anyone help me out?

Ok, I touched up a few pins that were open, now i'm getting this... does this mean everything is groovy? The one thing i'm wondering about, is the "Command line: mem=16m"

Everything is groovy. Ignore the "mem=16m" line -- that is just a factory firmware default for the mk2a.

Excellent

Now, I have to figure out this stupid display fuse issue to actually use the memory. I'll be switching out the fuse with the one you sent me a few months ago. Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Thanks again!
