Long story, but both of the leads from one of my MB Quart tweeters have broken off.Can I just resolder them or will I run the risk of burning up the voicecoil or whatever else is in there when I apply the iron to the terminal?
Thanks.

Most speakers I've seen have solder pads where the wires leading to the speaker cone are soldered to the plug terminals. If they can solder them at the factory, you should be able to solder at or near those same spots yourself.

In theory. I mean, I suppose the factory might have carefully temperature-controlled gear and low-melting-point solder, but I doubt it.

Your correct, thats where I would need to solder mine. The wire leading to the speaker coil/cone is alot thinner.I'm concerned that i'll apply too much heat and damage something.

With a normal soldering iron, you should be able to solder the wires back on without any problem - assuming you are competent at solder work generally. Just don't apply heat for more than a second or so at a time, and you should be fine.

I have been soldering speaker wires for nearly 30 years now and never damaged one so I think they are pretty robust.
