Here's a nice little trick that Tony Fabris showed me several years ago. I think he may have gotten it from Roger or one of the other Blue Signature people, but am not sure.

If you want a quick and easy way to set up a pseudo-favorites shuffle, try adding the following to your empeg's config.ini file:

Shuffle0=Most Often Played,PLAYS=-7,RANDOM=0

If you are unsure how to edit your config.ini file, just go to the empeg FAQ and do a search for "config.ini" and you'll find out how.

What this does is add an entry to your Shuffle selections called "Most Often Played", and as the name suggests, it shuffles the selected playlist, putting the most often played tracks first. Since you usually play your favorite songs the most, it gives a nice sort-of-randomized grouping of the songs you like the best.
