Well, the server that my primary DNS entry for miniinfo.net suffered a hardware failure over the weekend. And by now, most people cannot resolve it. Heres where I need your help. I'm sitting here at work, with 7.5 hours to go, and no way to fix the problem without knowing the IP empeg.miniinfo.net resolves to. The IP has changed seevral times in the past few months so I haven't bothered to remember it. If you by chance can still resolve empeg.miniinfo.net (or www.miniinfo.net, mail, or ftp), could you please send me a private message with the IP?

Thanks,
Tom

(Well never mind. Forgot another host I had pointed at the box. I found the IP, now to look into why the backup DNS lost my miniinfo.net record but not this other one.)

Logo site is back up. (Well technicially it was never down, but I didn't feel like rerouting everyone to the IP when the DNS died). In a bizzare accident, the hard drive in the primary DNS decided to corrupt lots of things, and throw lots more into lost+found. It's back up now, so the domain is being served. As far as why the backup DNS dropped the domain, thats still up in the air.

I just got to wondering.. with the release of version 1.1 on the horizon.. and with empeg becoming part of the Rio family.. when I install this new version of the software is it going to replace my prefered 'empeg' logo with the new Rio version?

Probably not the most important event to happen to me, but I am rather concerned..

You can switch between the empeg and Rio logos currently, using tfabris' logo editor. I'm assuming 1.1 will be the same way...

Yes. If you use the latest version of my logo editor, and your Empeg/Riocar is running version 1.02 or later of the player software, then there is an option on the file menu of the logo editor to tell it whether you own a Rio Car or an Empeg Car, and it will write the appropriate four bytes to the flash ram to tell the player which of the two logos you want it to show. I think this is explained in the readme file that comes with the logo editor.
