Hi All,

I have had one of my empegs in our 1996 Merc E220 for a few years now and loving it. I have another unit ready for my Porsche, now complete with a tuner module....although everytime I go to do somthing with it I stumble as to where to put the amp. Has anyone done this before that can suggest a place to install and type (size) of amp?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
David

In addition to asking here, also remember to ask on Porsche forums. Other people who install ordinary car stereos will also need that same question answered, and there's more of a chance such people will be plentiful on Porsche forums (thus increasing chance for a good answer).

I don't know what the best Porsche forum would be, I'm sure there are many of them.

Or just cheat and use the built in amp, if they have one.

My advice would be go to a local stereo shop and ask what you need for installation. Try to price some different amps online first so if they try to sell you you have an idea what you want and how much to pay.

You definitely want to price the amps before you go try to buy some for your Porsche.

Compare prices at Froogle or PriceGrabber.
