This is a question, or maybe a suggestion?

I'm reading this BBS forum over a slow link. Really slow.
9600bps GSM. This means that I've "subscribed" to the mailing-list. That way, reading messages is easy and nice.

But. Replying to messages is a pain. The Web-interface is really slow, and it is difiicult to locate the message I want to
reply to.

What would be really good (and not to difficult to implement?)
would be if you could include the URL to each individual message so that one single "click" would get me to the right
message for replying or viewing attachments.

The feature you describe is a good idea. However, this is not the place to request the feature, since the people who run the BBS can't do anything about it. You should request that feature from the people who wrote the BBS software. They can be found at http://www.wwwthreads.com/

One of the nice things about the WWWThreads license is that they encourage modifications to their code. This could easially be added without having to wait for a new version of the BBS to be implemented. It's just a matter of finding the right script and adding in code to echo the URL into the message.

I suppose, but there's already some simpler issues with the BBS that need to be corrected, and PaulH hasn't really had the time to do those, either.

Plus, every time Paul makes a modification to the BBS, it gets lost in the next upgrade 'cause he forgets to re-apply the change.
