I have just now listed my Canon 20D camera body on eBay, item number 130167787917 .
Here are direct links for eBay in Canada, USA, and UK.

This is the exact camera I used for photos at the 2006 Empeg Meet.

If anyone here wants it, let me know.

Cheers

Mark

Yes, I've had it here since Sept.30.
It seems to work well enough, so I no longer need to keep the 20D around.

No noticeable difference in image quality (as expected), but the 3" LCD display is a lot easier on the eyes than the 1.8" one on the 20D. And the larger viewfinder is also a needed upgrade.

Suprisingly, the "live view" feature is not just a marketing gimmick after all. I use it now any time the camera is on a tripod -- much better than contorting my body to look through the smaller (by comparison) viewfinder, and with the 10X magnify function it is easy to get dead-on accurate focus where I want it.

Cheers

Well, that was interesting.

With just a few hours to go, somebody placed a new bid of "up to $4567" on my camera, from a "compromised account" on eBay. This effectively locks out any last minute snipers, and would have left me high and dry when the auction closed.

eBay sent me a note that they thought the account was compomised, but didn't actually remove their high bid. Fortunately (I think), the system did allow me to manually remove the bid. Now hoping that the (previous, now current) high bidder hadn't given up and gone elsewhere..

Strange tactic, if that's what it was (?) (eBay neophyte here)

Wow that sucks. I bet the "buyer", if he hadn't been caught, would have gone on to give you a fake money order or something to pay for the camera. If you don't have any luck selling you might see if KEH will just buy your camera from you.

No worries. My manual bid removal thingie worked, and somebody else eventually won the auction for US$610 + shipping.

Cheers!
