So I've just bought a new iphone and I'd really like to get a bluetooth headset to go with it. I'm not big on features for the headset but there are a few things I would like:

1-Good sound quality with a good bit of volume. I'm in a car quite a bit and I'll need the extra volume boost of a good headset.

2-It MUST have an over the ear hook. I can't stand the inner ear pieces only. That is very uncomfortable to me.

3-Battery life of at least 4-5 hours talk time.

4-Answer/End Call button on the headset.

I'm not a guru when it comes to this stuff and I haven't had a lot of time to do the research. Hopefully you guys will have some answers for me.

Thanks!

Heh...now I know where part of that profit-sharing check went. Congrats, I'm a wee bit jealous.

I have a Plantronics Discovery™ 665 earpiece that I'm happy with, but it's in-ear only. The do make several over-the-ear models though.

Just to throw a wrench in your thread, I've found that I can't use the over-the-ear type because the speaker ends up being so far from my ear canal that I can't hear anything.

I like the Jabra 250/500 models.

while I'm very happy with the Plantronics BT headsets(I own a few models), the range on them seems rather poor. I know a few people that work there, and they seem to agree.

The Jawbone seems to be all the rage these days. It has auto adjusting volume, and also pretty much cuts out background noise, well, according to them anyhow.

I personally haven't tried one, as my current headset is the Apple made in ear one. It's been one of the first headsets I can stand to use for a while, the over the ear ones never work well for me for some reason.

I'm fairly happy with mine as well.
The main issue with it seems to be that it is so small that the only place to store it without losing it is in your ear.
