Sorry for this kind of post.

Spooky, the only pet I've ever had and the only one I've ever needed, has passed away. She was suffering from kidney failure.

She was the nicest cat I have ever met in my life, would lie on anyone's lap, and in her long life she never bit or scratched a single person.

I couldn't have asked for better. She will be missed greatly.

Hopefully evolution will sort this whole thing out and realize humans need our pets to live as long as we do.

My condolences on your loss.

I'm sorry to hear that. frown

I do hope you'll post a kitten picture, when you're ready!

I still look around for Minka to make sure I don't run him over when I push my chair back from my desk... and I have no intention of stopping.

She'll stay with you smile

Sadly, I never knew her as a kitten. We got her from the Humane Society when she was a little under a year old, so she was fully grown (she was always a small cat).

*edit* I probably would have posted more photos, but amazingly, Spooky lived most of her life before the age of digital cameras, so I'm going to have to find some prints and digitize them so they don't get lost. Spooky lived for a very long time, and I'm fortunate for that. */edit*

Yeah, I've been making sure to close doors to the outside behind me, even though I don't have to (she was an indoor cat due to her age and size - she got in a bad tussle once).

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. It sounds like she was a great pet and friend. I also recently went through a loss of a pet (my dog, Jake, which I was going to post, but never did) and it is a very, very difficult thing to go through. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
