It's my favourite place to drink (after the mill pond in summer). Will be there ASAP after work!

Happy drinking!

No open hot spots that the iPhone can see. Just expensive GPRS.

Due to a hectic lifestyle, I'm unsure how much of this I can attend. I see there is a lunch in Swavesy, though which I have no excuse not to attend seeing as I live 3 miles away smile

Hope to meet some like-minded people there tomorrow!

Oh, and now would be a really good time to upgrade to a recent Hijack kernel if you haven't already done so. smile

And set the date/time correctly, too.

Cheers

Now he tells us: my empeg power supply's in London, along with my null-modem cable (not that this laptop's got real serial on it anyway...).

Empeg News Bulletin:

On his first attempt at the new empeg Whack-A-Mole game, Rory successfully defended his title as the reigning empeg gaming champion.

His open-ended score of 40 (the game crashed at that point) now stands as the all-time record for the sport. smile

For this effort, he won a bottle of the local white wine, and the only existing leather official empeg carry bag, courtesy of Hugo. This bag was apparently a prototype, and is identical to the more common nylon versions, but with a gloss black leather exterior.

Two years ago, at Duxford, Rory won a home dock for the best score at Breakout on the empeg.

Well done (again!), Rory!

Back home now and despite my soaking in the Cam this afternoon, we had a great time. Well done to rob for organising Saturday. It was great to see so many people there again. Here's to next year. I need a shower now though...

Just arrived home as well after a particularly wet 412 mile drive! A bit tired, but uploading and viewing some excellent pics now (some going on my Flickr page ) . A wonderful weekend - thanks to everyone involved in organising it.

I am delighted by my bags which match my empegs:

I will be stress testing Whack-a-mole - we'll get 40 beat smile

And now that Mark and Hugo got my address wire sorted, I now just need to sort my own soldering errors and one of these babies will be embiggened too! Thanks for the fine dexterity skillz.

Yes, the roads were very wet. A BMW driver found this out the hard way as he came sideways down my road during the tennis and ended up wrapped around the tree outside my house! Luckily everyone is ok.

Such a great weekend. Thanks to Rob V and all the other guys who put in so much work to get it all organised. The few photos I took are uploaded here.

I returned home to find the family watching the men's final and it struck me: How similar the umpire's chair is to Patrick's robot!
It would be great if the umpire set off for a lap of honour, without the option.

Hehehe, I'm just imagining a swap of the umpire's chair with a Patrick enchanced version. Driving the umpire around the court is just stuff legends are made of.

Here is a video of the bot in action

Now back in Amsterdam, but unable to shake the thought of getting a Numark HDmix...
