Anyone know if a guest can upload pictures to my picasa album ? I put all my recent wedding photos on there and friends at the event also took pictures so it would be easy if they could just upload them themselves. It doesn't look like it but I figured I would ask anyway I have been wrong before smile

I don't think they can upload without having your username/password. They could upload to other albums, of course...

You could always do this:

- Temporarily change your password to something very random.
- Email that random password to your friends, and give them a deadline to upload the photos.
- Change your password back to your normal password after the deadline.

This all assumes that they are Picasa users themselves. Snail mail and grabbing them from where ever they post their photo are tasks you may need to consider.

I thought about doing that but I wanted to see if there was a more legit way. I just made the guy who had the pictures sign up for picasa and put them up so I could download them and re-upload them to my album.

Some way to let friends upload to your account would be nice.

Well, I'm not sure how/if you can let others upload to your albums, but even if you use Google's web albums, you don't necessarily need Picasa to upload photos. It has the usual "browse for photos" upload method as well.

I don't use Picasa Web Albums, but with Flickr you could make a invitation-only private or public group that any Flickr user can add photos to. Additionally, you could tag those photos with a unique tag and find all of the photos in one place that way. For single user albums I think Picasa Web Albums has similar functionality as Flickr, but Flickr has some nice collaborative tools to share photos.
